Marilyn Veitch was born in the USA, the 2nd of 11 children and now a grandmother to 12. She learned to sew at the early age of 9 but didn’t begin her sewing career until after her marriage and the birth of her first-born. It all started when she began making much of her own children’s clothes and has culminated in a very passionate desire to sew Doll Apparel today.
She has always been an avid Doll lover but a late bloomer in collecting them. After her children were grown she had the opportunity to work with her sister-in-law by making the doll apparel for her custom made porcelain dolls. When her sister-in law moved out of town she greatly missed the opportunity to fabricate doll apparel so she joined the Doll Artisan Guild of doll making. There she studied and completed the Modern Doll Art class in making Antique Porcelain Dolls. She has recently studied and became skilled at the technique of fabricating the Reborn Bernguer Vinyl Doll.
She also does a lot of Customer Design Doll Apparel sewing from photos and outfits for the 18” American Girl Doll, 18” Tolly Girl Doll, 18” Our Generation Doll and 20” Baby Doll and many more.

So if any of you Doll makers need a seamstress for your “hard to please” Doll customers just e-mail her at
